Christian Lybrook is a writer and filmmaker who has lived in Idaho since 2002. He got his start as a novelist before switching to film a decade ago. His films have appeared at festivals throughout the U.S., including the Tribeca Film Festival and the Sun Valley Film Festival (SVFF).

His script for CARBON won the SVFF’s inaugural “One Potato” award for best short screenplay. He is the recipient of filmmaking grants from the Idaho Film Office and the Idaho Commission on the Arts. The series ZERO POINT, co-created with creative partner Gregory Bayne, participated in the 2014 Independent Filmmaker Project’s Emerging Storyteller’s Program, and the pilot episode won the 2015 SVFF Gem State Award.

He and Bayne are also developing a new series, BRANDED, about an Idaho state police cattle inspector who is reluctantly pulled into the investigation of a grisly multiple homicide.
